RCBS The Grand Shotshell Press
The RCBS 12 Gauge The Grand Progressive Shotshell Press is intended for the shot gunner who requires accurate, precision shotshells for hunting or trap and skeet. The operator merely has to start a hull at station 1 and insert a wad in the wad guide at station 4. All other functions are performed automatically by The Grand. Once in full operation, a loaded shotshell is dispensed each time the handle is cycled through the full down and up strokes. The case activated Powder System means no hull, no powder dropped and therefore no spillage and there is no need to manually turn the powder on and off. Because the powder charging station is at the front of the press, it is easy to view the powder charge and convenient to remove the powder-charged hull for weighing the powder charge, if deemed necessary.
Main Features
- The Massive Frame is constructed of high grade aluminium casting that's tied together with steel rods and links. The 1.5" diameter ram is joined to the famous RCBS Compound Leverage System for a smooth, solid, effortless feel. The large openings in the frame give easy access to all of the 8 stations
- Universal Case Holders for easy removal or insertion of hulls at all stations. Allows sizing of the metal portion of the hull down to the rim
- The Auto Indexing System is very simple, yet very reliable. Its easily removable for those who prefer manual indexing - pull the pin and the unit slips out in one piece
- Steel Sizer Ring provides complete resizing of high and low base hulls - a feature not found on most other shotshell presses
- The Tilt-Out Wad Guide is spring-loaded for easy, convenient feeding of wads. The Wad Guide is designed for use with Federal or your favourite brand of wads
- Priming System feeds one primer at a time and is extremely reliable: no double - stacked primers, no overturned primers and no skipped primers
The Powder System provides three positions for the Powder Measure: "ON", "OFF" and "EMPTY". To completely empty the powder hopper, attach the drain tube and turn the powder measure to "EMPTY". The powder will then drop back into the powder can at the bottom of the drain tube. The Powder Bushings easily interchange in about 30 seconds. Powder Bushings are available for all popular loads. Hornady Powder Bushings may also be used in The Grand charge bar. The capacity of the Powder Hopper is 1lbs of your favourite powder. The Shot System is also case activated. Again, no hull at a time no shot and best of all, no spillage. You never need to continually turn the shot measure "ON" or "OFF". The shot system is easily drained. Merely attach the drain tube below the shot measure. Shift the Shot Measure to "EMPTY". Shot then falls back in the shot bag or container. Its that quick and simple, plus no lead shot on the floor.

Please note delivery cost will be added to your order once your delivery country has been entered. Standard delivery to England, Scotland and Wales (excluding channel islands) is £7.99. Express Next Day delivery is only £14.99. Heavy goods like Extra Large Gun Safes can result in a delivery charge in excess of £70 depending on your location. For delivery to countries outside the UK delivery costs will be displayed once your country has been chosen at the address stage of the checkout process.
The Sportsman Gun Centre can only deliver goods to you in an approximate period. We will always endeavour to dispatch your items within 48 hours however product availability can vary. All goods will be sent to the address given by you which can be seen in your order confirmation email. We aim to get your goods to you within 2-3 working days but some products have specific delivery requirement which may extend delivery timescales. Please see individual product pages for more information.
If for some reason parcels are required to be redirected then an additional charge might be levied (where applicable). Also if goods are refused or not called for a charge might also be incurred. In-Store Items
These are items that we stock in one of our 3 SGC Shooting Superstores and orders for these items will take 2-3 days to arrive. If you would like to purchase the item in person then please call ahead to make sure the store you're travelling to has it in stock (Our main distribution warehouse is located at the Exeter branch).
Direct Shipment Items
These products are dispatched direct from the manufacturer on behalf of Sportsman Gun Centre. In most cases they will arrive separately to any other items you have ordered. Please see the individual product pages for specific delivery estimates as each manufacturer will use a different courier. If you need to return or exchange your product please return the items to Sportsman Gun Centre's Exeter branch. For more information please call 01392 354 854.
Collection Only Items
These items normally require Identification (Passport) or a Firearms / Shotgun Certificate before they are handed over. Shotguns, Rifles, Airguns and Moderators are usually good examples. When purchasing a 'collection only' item you are in effect paying a deposit for your goods. In all instances you can choose to collect your item from one of our stores (Exeter, Dorset or Newport) or from a 3rd party gun dealer. The latter may be at an additional cost to yourself.
PLEASE CALL THE RELEVANT STORE OR THE 3RD PARTY GUN DEALER TO MAKE SURE YOUR ITEM HAS ARRIVED BEFORE YOU TRAVEL TO COLLECT YOUR ORDER.
Special Order Items
These are products which aren't always kept in stock or are tailor made. Special Order Items can have extended delivery timescales so for more information please see the individual product pages for specific delivery estimates.
Pre-Order/Back Order Items
These are usually items that are going to be out of stock for a number of weeks or are in short supply. By purchasing a Pre-Order or Back Ordering an Item you are in effect paying a deposit for your goods. As soon as the item is back in stock yours will be dispatched within 24 hours where possible. Please see individual product pages for the current delivery estimates and back in stock dates. On rare occasions these dates can be changed by the manufacturers, so we recommend staying in contact with our Exeter branch once a month depending on the product lead time. Tel: 01392 354854
International Delivery
In addition to the above information If your delivery address is outside of the UK you may be subject to import duties and taxes, which are levied once a shipment reaches your country. Any such additional charges for customs clearance must be borne by you. You should note that customs policies vary widely from country to country. The Sportsman Gun Centre advises each customer to contact their local customs office for further information if they are in any way unsure of local duties or liabilities. Cross border shipments are subject to opening and inspection by customs authorities which means some packages maybe opened and re-sealed.
Refunds & Returns
The Goods in question must be returned to us unopened within 14 days of your cancellation notice and must be received by us in the condition they were in when delivered to you, unopened and sealed in their original packaging in a condition suitable for re-sale. Unless the Goods are faulty We shall be entitled to recover any direct costs of having to recover the Goods from you and may set such costs off against the amount to be re-credited to you.
All returned goods should carry a copy of the original invoice and a completed returns slip. We recommend you keep a copy of these for your own records. The goods should be packaged to a satisfactory standard in a safe and relevant manner. Our return address should be clearly shown on the front of the parcel which is as follows:
